| Welcome
to Meriba Adventures! |
|
|
Andre (Lottie) and Elmarie Meyer was born Great
Karoo children. Lottie was born at Willowmore and
Elmarie at Oudtshoorn. We both love the Karoo's
clean air, beautiful sunset, stars and peaceful
surroundings.
We lived in Cape Town for 20 years, where we were
in the meat and reception industry. The cape's lifestyle
were to much for us and we went back to our birth
place of resting, peace and safeness. We farm with
merino (wool) sheep and also give hunting and adventure
tours.
We also know where the beauty of the Karoo is hidden.
Both of us are also dual motorcycle enthusiasts.
We also experienced many gravel road and mountain
pass adventures.
We are very hospitable and we also welcome you to
enjoy the Great Karoo together with us.

The Karoo is hard and yet beautiful in its own way.
You have to learn the beauty of nature. Where the
wind blows, the windmill screams and then nature
turns around and then turns silent and the silence
goes away. Not a cloud in sight. The night where
stars falls down on the plains. The winter brings
frost all over during mornings, then you have to
struggle keeping warm and later the sun comes to
the rescue. The summer is warm, but then it's our
raining season. The water taps then gets overloaded,
the air purified, bushes awaken and grows wonderfully
fast.
THIS IS THE GREAT KAROO AT IT'S BEST!
It is something to see for yourself. The old Great Karoo is a place just for the adventurer.
